Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Python, Node.js, AWS)
12-Month Contract | Fully Remote Across Canada
Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing team responsible for building and enhancing data-driven applications used by portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, and investment professionals.
This is an opportunity to work on modern cloud-native applications leveraging React, Python, Node.js, AWS, and AI-assisted development tools within a highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance back-end services and APIs using Python and Node.js.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and API Gateway.
- Integrate applications with enterprise data platforms and adjacent systems.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization solutions using Entra ID, OIDC, and JWT.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing initiatives, and CI/CD processes.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and support user acceptance testing and production deployments.
- Leverage AI-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of full stack software development experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and Node.js.
- Experience building and deploying applications within AWS environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda.
- Strong understanding of REST API design and development.
- Experience working with SQL and data-centric applications. Snowflake experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with Docker, containerized applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Git-based development practices.
- Ability to develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with Streamlit or other data application front-end frameworks.
- Snowflake or Snowpark application development experience.
- Financial services, asset management, capital markets, or trading platform experience.
- Experience developing reusable component libraries or design systems.
- AWS certifications.
Contract Details
- 12-month contract
- Fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.
