Become a leader in surgical quality as a proactive Surgeon Champion dedicated to enhancing patient safety and achieving improvement goals. Collaborate with fellow physicians and health professionals to advocate for excellence in surgical care.
In this pivotal role, you will invest approximately six hours a month, working with the NSQIP Regional Team to identify evidence-based strategies for quality projects. Your responsibilities include reviewing data reports and attending important meetings and summits, ensuring effective communication and ongoing advocacy for NSQIP. This position requires a collaborative spirit and a commitment to reducing perioperative adverse outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with local Surgical Clinical Reviewer on improvement opportunities
• Review NSQIP reports regularly
• Initiate at least one quality improvement project yearly
• Attend NSQIP and ACS Conferences
• Complete specified online training within a year
Requirements:
• Active Privileges, CMPA, CPSBC Full
• Passion for surgical quality enhancement
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility for meetings and possible travel Drive impactful quality initiatives and elevate surgical standards to enhance patient care across your organization.
