Apply your mechanical engineering knowledge as a French-language Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus. Support MCG1502 students in person during winter 2027.
This Teaching Assistant supports the Department of Mechanical Engineering course Dessin mécanique, section B. The work includes LAB/TUT delivery, student consultations, marking, and proctoring, with duties allocated by the supervisor. Strong subject knowledge and communication skills are central to supporting the course supervisor and enrolled students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratories and tutorials for MCG1502
- Provide consultations to students throughout the course
- Mark student work as assigned
- Proctor the final examination
- Coordinate duties with the supervising professor
Requirements:
- Successfully completed undergraduate mechanical courses
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drawing
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability in person throughout the course session
- Availability to proctor the final exam
