About the Client:
The client is a small, boutique Cybersecurity start-up company based in Calgary, Alberta. Led by its innovative technology, the company performs cybersecurity compliance audits, vulnerability assessments, then provides extensive reports and remediation solutions. The technology uses elements of AI in its use and has been written and is being enhanced with the use of AI-assisted development.
About the Role:
The client's product is built, and they are always fine-tuning and building new custom models
MUST-HAVE Tools and Technologies and Experience:
- Strong passion and previous experience delivering software products using AI tools such as Claude Code, or other AI tools. A clear sense of when to trust the output and when to read every line.
- Experience with TypeScript, pnpm, Rust, Cargo, Go.
- Solid relational data modelling and SQL.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployments, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Cloud infrastructure fundamentals and best practices. Cloudflare (Workers, D1, R2, Durable Objects) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a large monorepo. Turborepo preferred.
- Project-management skills: well-written issues, honest status, and work closed out when it's done.
Nice to have's
- React 19+ and Vite.
- A good eye for front-end design and accessibility.
- Security or compliance experience: cloud or M365 security configuration, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
Please note, this is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position in Calgary, Alberta.
