Sheet Metal Workers - Commercial Construction Project - $44.80/hr - Calgary, AB
Matrix HR is seeking Sheet Metal Workers, including Journeypersons and 3rd & 4th year Apprentices, for a major commercial construction project in Calgary, Alberta. What You’ll Need
- Valid Sheet Metal Journeyperson Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal (for Journeypersons)
- Active Sheet Metal apprenticeship (for Apprentices)
- Third- or fourth-year apprentice status preferred
- Applicable trade or apprenticeship hours and technical training
- Previous commercial construction experience (asset)li>
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience with fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal products
- Strong leadership and apprentice-training skills (for Journeypersons)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift more than 25 kilograms
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work at heights and in awkward, elevated, or noisy environments
- Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and spatial awareness
- Required safety certifications: CSTS, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Lift Training
