Take charge as Payroll Supervisor at Seaspan Shipyards, where you will manage payroll processes and a unionized team dedicated to compliance and accuracy. This role is eligible for hybrid work after initial onboarding.
In this leadership role, you will supervise the complete payroll cycle for union employees, ensuring adherence to collective agreements and regulations. Your day-to-day will include reviewing payroll accuracy, resolving inquiries, and leading system performance enhancements. A commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative team ethos will be fundamental to your success.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise full-cycle bi-weekly payroll operations
• Conduct payroll compliance reviews and audits
• Address payroll inquiries with detailed policy knowledge
• Lead payroll year-end processes and reporting
• Train and mentor payroll staff for optimal performance
Requirements:
• Degree with specialized payroll and accounting coursework
• Over a decade of payroll processing expertise
• Minimum three years in a supervisory role
• Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner
• Proficient in union agreements and payroll regulations Become a key leader in Seaspan Shipyards’ payroll operations and ensure every employee is compensated accurately.
