Build reliable logistics software with Python, TypeScript, and Vue 3 at Descartes GroundCloud, supporting delivery fleets across North America. Your work improves daily workflows for drivers and dispatchers.
As an Intermediate Software Developer, you will ship web application features and fixes within a collaborative engineering team. You will work across modular frontends, Python backends, RESTful APIs, automated testing, and relational data. The platform supports safety, compliance, and operations for delivery fleets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-scoped functionality and fixes through normal code review
- Build and extend consistent RESTful JSON APIs
- Develop modular frontend features using component-based frameworks
- Write unit and functional tests for every pull request
- Surface customer needs, edge cases, risks, and scope concerns
Requirements:
- Three to five years developing and shipping web applications
- Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS proficiency
- Solid Python backend development experience
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD
- Working knowledge of Git, code reviews, and system design trade-offs
