This is a 6 month contract with permanent potential
About the Opportunity
- Prepare month end financial statements
- Reconcile cash transactions and bank statements for multiple corporate cash accounts
- Monitor reconciliation activities performed by a center of excellence
- Research and resolve reconciling items related to cash
- Collaborate with different departments of the business to ensure proper recording of cash-related transactions and timely resolution of reconciling items
- Prepare and approve journal entries and month-end account reconciliations for cash and investments
- Monitor and analyze cash flow reporting
- Provide insightful financial analysis, including explanations of variances between actual and prior period results
- Have a strong understanding of accrual accounting under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and SEC reporting requirements
- Recommend process improvements to streamline the cash process
- Ensure continued compliance with internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements and assist with the identification of process/control/automation enhancements
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
- Working towards designation
- 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience including preparing reconciliations, researching and resolving unreconciled differences, performing detailed financial analysis, cash flow reporting, etc.
- Oracle and Workday
- Advanced Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior management
- Engaging, confident, problem solver
