Diagnose and repair construction and forestry equipment as a Field Heavy Equipment Technician in Timmins, using tools, systems, and service expertise.
Brandt seeks a Field Heavy Equipment Technician for its Timmins Construction & Forestry location. This full-time position maintains and repairs heavy equipment and attachments. Responsibilities include diagnosis, parts ordering, documentation, road testing, and safe use of computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, assemble, disassemble, and repair heavy equipment
- Order parts using catalogues and parts personnel
- Document machine information, actions, and time on work orders
- Use John Deere Service Advisor and related computer systems
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation
Requirements:
- Communicate effectively with customers, service teams, and branch personnel
- Meet physical demands including climbing and overhead lifting
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Heavy equipment mechanical experience preferred
- Certified Journeyperson status preferred
