Bring oil and gas cost control experience to Cenovus, analyzing operating expenses, invoices, inventory, and performance across Well Delivery.
This Cost Analyst supports financial operations at the AFE and job levels. The work includes portfolio reconciliations, contractor invoice review, operating expense analysis, and reporting. Collaboration spans Drilling, Completions, Earthworks, Production, Supply Chain Management, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly operating expense performance data
- Verify material transfers and track inventory accurately
- Review invoices for compliance and resolve discrepancies
- Support contractor accounts payable inquiries
- Identify process improvements through data analysis
Requirements:
- Two or more years of oil and gas experience
- Cost control, project accounting, or financial operations experience preferred
- Understanding of procure-to-pay processes
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to modern data tools
