This Government of Alberta assignment supports the Gas Royalty in Kind program. You will gather requirements, develop applications, and maintain enterprise systems using C, PowerBuilder, Sybase SQL, and Solaris 11. The work includes collaboration with business users, analysts, clients, and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write application code using C, PowerBuilder, InfoMaker, and Sybase SQL
- Gather requirements and document business processes and applications
- Design SQL databases and produce technical reference manuals
- Conduct unit, system, and integration testing
- Coordinate controlled application releases and resolve root causes
Requirements:
- University graduation and four years related experience, or equivalent qualification
- Five years using C, Sybase, and Solaris 11 or RedHat
- Five years with embedded SQL, stored procedures, and data modelling
- Five years supporting end-users, testing, and documentation
- Work from Alberta and attend the Edmonton office three days weekly
