Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoice processing and ensuring accurate data entry while maintaining compliance with company procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:- Process invoices for two site locations, ensuring timely and accurate handling, especially during high-volume periods at month-end.- Code invoices when purchase orders are unavailable and forward them for approval as required.- Manage up to 130 invoices per site during peak workloads, ensuring all are thoroughly reviewed and recorded.- Utilize intermediate-level Excel skills to input data into existing spreadsheets and maintain organized records.- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to address discrepancies or obtain necessary approvals.- Maintain a high standard of accuracy in data entry and invoice processing to prevent errors.- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.- Identify and resolve any issues related to invoice coding or processing.- Monitor accounts payable activity to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.- Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments accurately.- Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry into pre-existing templates.- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy.- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.- Ability to manage high volumes of invoices during peak periods.- Solid organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.- Familiarity with common accounts payable practices and procedures.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
