We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our team in Ottawa.
Position Overview:
AutoShack is currently looking for a Software Developer to play a crucial role in the design, development, and integration of our software solutions and system integrations. This position requires a blend of hands-on development, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in translating business requirements into technical solutions, developing software, and integrating with external SaaS components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality, high-availability, and high-performance software systems using .NET/C.
- Collaborate closely with management to research and develop prototypes and solutions for specialized business needs.
- Drive decision-making processes for system architecture, integrating both off-the-shelf and custom-built solutions.
- Develop and integrate software components and external systems into AutoShack’s technological stack.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the company’s infrastructure, networks, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, schedules, and industry best practices.
- Hands-on involvement in all phases of software development, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
- Develop and maintain custom applications and integrations.
- Manage Azure cloud services and ensure proper integration and performance of cloud-based applications.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience developing and maintaining software using the .NET framework.
- Proficiency in both old and new .NET paradigms and technologies.
- Excellent understanding of web development technologies and best practices.
- Extensive experience in designing and using RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, the Entity Framework, and integrated software systems.
- Background in internal network and systems setup and maintenance.
- Experience with integration platforms such as Boomi, Workato, and Mulesoft.
- Proven experience in developing web applications, preferably within the e-Commerce sector.
- Strong background in system architecture, object-oriented design, web frameworks, and software design patterns.
- Mastery of software development tools, specifically Visual Studio.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.
