On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Data Scientist, Python for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.Data Scientist, Python - Job Description:As a Data Scientist in the Internal Audit – Innovation and Data Analytics department, you will analyze, design, and implement data science solutions to enhance audit efficiency. The role focuses on leveraging machine learning and statistical modeling to understand risk environments and build innovative tools for auditors.Data Scientist, Python - Responsibilities:• Develop and test AI agents targeting audit efficiency• Participate in requirements meetings with audit staff and collaborate with PM/PO• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines• Implement machine learning models and data mining methods• Collaborate with business units to design innovative solutions• Prototype and build Generative AI toolsData Scientist, Python - Mandatory Skills:• 5-9 years of Data Scientist experience• PhD in computer science, math/stats, engineering, or thesis-based sciences• Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark• Experience developing machine learning models• Experience with data preprocessing and anomaly detection• Comfortable with frameworks like Langgraph and Llamaindex• Proficiency in SQLData Scientist, Python – Nice-to-Have Skills:• Experience in audit and risk domains• Strong communication and relationship-building skills• Familiarity with Docker• MCPs certificationData Scientist, Python – Assignment Length:This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.Data Scientist, Python - Start Date:ASAP.Data Scientist, Python - Assignment Location:Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
