When we surround ourselves with the best possible talent, a successful, healthy business follows.Role Description:The Social Producer is an integral part of Academy’s production team, responsible for leading and executing social-first content productions across a range of clients and platforms.This role is built for a producer who lives and breathes social media — someone who knows what performs, understands each platform’s nuances, and brings that insight into every phase of production. The Social Producer will manage multiple digital shoots at once, making small budgets go further through smart planning, resourcefulness, and creative problem-solving.You’ll play a key role in helping Academy grow its social production capabilities — building systems, workflows, and scalable models that turn social production into a powerful line of business for the agency. While the focus is social, you’ll also bring the confidence and capability to support on larger-scale commercial productions when needed.Qualifications:3–5 years of experience in production (agency, content, or brand side).Proven experience producing social-first and digital content.Strong understanding of platform best practices across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple shoots at once and keep teams aligned and organized.Experience working with small budgets and fast timelines, without compromising quality.Strong production fundamentals — budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, and vendor management.A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in growing Academy’s social production offering.Day to Day Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end execution of social content productions — from concepting and pre-pro to shoot and delivery.Manage budgets and reconciliations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.Develop scopes of work, production plans, and timelines that keep projects organized and moving smoothly.Collaborate with the creative and social teams to ensure content aligns with platform best practices and trends.Hire and manage small crews, creators, and vendors with a focus on creative quality and efficiency.Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams throughout the production process.Support larger productions as needed, providing on-set leadership and organizational oversight.Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline social workflows, and build scalable systems for high-volume content creation.Contribute to the growth of the production department by bringing forward new ideas, tools, and approaches rooted in social production expertise.Salary: $75,000Location: Toronto, ON
