What you’ll bring to the role

Education & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Typically 1 to 2 years of environmental consulting or environmental field experience. Recent graduates with relevant coursework, internships, cooperative education, or field training are encouraged to apply. Relevant certifications, safety training, or professional development courses are considered assets. Technical Expertise

Foundational understanding of environmental science principles, site assessment methodologies, and environmental monitoring programs. Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques for soil, groundwater, surface water, and related environmental media. Basic knowledge of contaminated sites, remediation, reclamation, decommissioning, and environmental compliance programs. Ability to collect, document, and validate accurate field data while maintaining data quality and integrity. Familiarity with environmental monitoring equipment, sampling tools, and standard field procedures. Previous experience supporting contaminated site investigations or environmental field programs is considered an asset. Experience working in northern or remote environments, including the Northwest Territories or Arctic regions, is considered an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Professional Attributes

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record. Ability and willingness to travel for field assignments as required. Ability and willingness to travel to remote northern locations, including the Northwest Territories. Ability to safely perform physically demanding fieldwork in varying weather and site conditions.
