Our client, a very well-known supply chain industry client looking to hire Director, Data & Analytics.


Your New Role:

The Director of Data & Analytics is responsible for analyzing large quantities of data and identifying useful insights to drive business decisions. You will be responsible for creating and implementing data strategies, managing, training data analysts, and communicating data trends to senior executives. You will also oversee the implementation and management of data governance, data policies, data compliance, and data standards.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a metrics and performance review process that will allow high-quality review of the business by the Executive Team.
  • Assess business performance by analyzing key metrics relevant to inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution efficiency.
  • Lead the identification of key performance indicators to assess progress against business objectives.
  • Monitor and adapt metrics based on changes in business priorities.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting/analysis solutions in close partnership with other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Finance).
  • Create leading-edge analyses that uncover opportunities for improvement in our website experience and ROI. Related to tire sales, customer behavior, and conversion rates. Optimize the online experience for customers purchasing tires.
  • Lead governance of our Digital data assets, including development of governance plan and structure.
  • Provide strategic leadership on large cross-functional horizontal initiatives, including new Digital product/services rollouts.
  • Align with stakeholders from across the company to ensure that leading-edge audit log and clickstream data is captured for ongoing Digital development across Mobile and Web.
  • Support tests related to infrastructure projects, new products, and new services.
  • Report on data analysis activities to customer entities, incorporating novel reporting and data visualization techniques.


What You’ll Need:

Education:

Bachelor’s degrees in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or relevant experience

Certifications:

BI, PA, CIPP, CISA, AWS, ITIL, PMP, SQL,

Skills:

Machine learning, Cloud computing, Decision science, Econometrics, Operations research, Business operational Delivery Process, Revenue models.

Experience:

7+ years relevant business experience in data science/ advanced analytics, data engineering, strategy, governance, ideally as a practitioner within data and/or analytics,

Expertise in Analytics lifecycle and best practices for developing, testing, rolling out, operating, and maintaining a portfolio of data analytics,

Machine learning, Cloud computing, Decision science, Econometrics, Operations research, Business operational Delivery Process, Revenue optimization models.
