From regulatory compliance to leadership recruitment, we act as an extension of our clients’ leadership teams to help them operate with confidence and clarity.Role DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Safety & Compliance & HR to join a growing transportation operation based in Mirabel, QC. This is a hands-on, on-site role responsible for ensuring the organization meets all safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements while fostering a strong safety culture across the operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing safety and compliance programs, supporting driver recruitment and onboarding from a compliance perspective, delivering safety training, and leading accident investigations. This role requires someone who is comfortable being on the floor, engaging with drivers and staff, and translating regulations into practical, workable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all safety and regulatory compliance activities across the operationEnsure compliance with applicable provincial and federal transportation and workplace safety regulationsDevelop, implement, and maintain S&C programs, policies, and proceduresSupport driver recruitment, onboarding, and qualification processes from a safety and compliance standpointDeliver safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks for drivers and operational staffConduct accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planningIdentify workplace and operational risks and implement preventative measuresMaintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentationWork closely with operations, HR, and leadership to promote a proactive safety cultureSupport audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries as requiredContinuously review and improve safety processes to align with best practices and business needsQualifications & ExperienceProven experience in safety compliance and regulatory management, preferably within transportation or logisticsStrong knowledge of safety standards, accident investigation procedures, and risk assessmentExperience delivering training sessions and developing safety programsExposure to driver recruitment and onboarding processesPost-secondary education or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, or a related fieldFamiliarity with Ontario workplace health and safety regulations is considered an assetStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsWhat We’re Looking ForThis role is well-suited for someone who is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
