This position is 0.5 FTE, approximately 840-1050 hours per year.ResponsibilitiesHave an understanding and familiarity with OAT in rural and remote settings.See 20 patients per month for maintenance OAT care, initiations, and inpatient consultations for OAT therapy as necessary.Maintain a minimum panel of 325 patients.Not required to be MRP for hospitalized patients.Not required to do on-call or emergency duties.Team and Work EnvironmentThe Wrinch Medical Staff provides full-scope care to the region, consisting of 10-12 Family Physicians, 1 GP-Anesthetist, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 3 Registered Midwives, operating under a collaborative model of care.In spring 2020, a Provider Partnership model was implemented, pairing each part-time GP with another provider for coverage and support, enhancing continuity and access to care. The selected candidate will be paired with an existing provider for smooth onboarding.Teaching and OutreachHazelton values teaching, with ongoing rotations of Medical Students, Nurse Practitioner Students, Midwifery Students, and Medical Residents.
