About the RoleOur client — a leading deep-tech venture capital firm (confidential) — is expanding its investment team in Toronto. The firm backs frontier-technology companies across Quantum & Quantum Computing, AI, Advanced Materials, SpaceTech, and other deep-tech domains.What You’ll Work OnSince this is a broad search, responsibilities will align to experience level, but may include:Sourcing and evaluating early-stage deep-tech startupsConducting technical and commercial due diligenceMarket research across frontier-tech verticalsSupporting portfolio companiesWorking closely with investment partners on deal executionRepresenting the firm at events, founder meetings, and ecosystem engagementsFull details will be provided during the interview process.Who We’re Looking ForMust-HavesBackground in STEM (Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Materials, Space, or related fields) or Strong Background in Venture Capital.Strong understanding of deep-tech domains such as quantum computing, AI, materials science, or space technologiesCuriosity, analytical thinking, and strong business senseNice-to-HavePrior experience in venture capital or investingCorporate or industry experience in a technical roleTrack record in sourcing, evaluating, or supporting early-stage companiesExperience with deals (for senior candidates)We’re open to candidates with 1 to 25+ years of experience — from highly capable juniors to seasoned venture investors.VisaVisa support may be possible on a case-by-case basis.
