Responsibilities
- Develop and foster new and existing client relationships
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering design teams
- Develop business and deliver projects in a team environment
- Mentor and train junior to intermediate staff
- Develop conceptual and numerical modelling solutions in support of engineering/mining projects.
- Develop new techniques and methods to solve groundwater problems.
- Geological and hydrogeological data analyses, visualization and development of conceptual site models.
- Applying hydrogeological principles to groundwater projects using conceptual and numerical modelling software.
- Perform field work in support of geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations
Qualifications
- Masters or PhD degree (Mathematics, Physics, Hydrogeological Sciences, Geological, Civil, Environmental, Mining Engineering, or equivalent qualifications)
- 10+ years of relevant experience (mining related experience preferred), including in-depth modelling experience (FEFLOW, MODFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, GoldSim, PEST-Suite, etc.)
- Knowledge of 3D finite difference, finite element and control volume finite element methods
- Experience with visualization software (Surfer, Leapfrog, CAD, etc.)
- Experience in data analytics, uncertainty analysis, machine-learning, python scripting or other coding, etc.
