About the ECA:The Escarpment Corridor Alliance (ECA) was founded in 2022 to address the increasing habitat and green space fragmentation of the Niagara Escarpment of South Georgian Bay. The ECA is now a regionally focused conservation land trust with a holistic approach that aims to balance people and nature.Position Summary:ECA is seeking an experienced fundraising and communications professional to co-lead fundraising with the Executive Director and lead marketing and communications activities.Reports To: Executive DirectorDirect Reports: Marketing & Communications Manager, Social Media CoordinatorMajor Responsibilities: Leading, executing, and monitoring an integrated communications program to provide donor stewardship and support revenue generation in annual giving, events, major gifts, legacy giving and the land securement campaignAssisting the Executive Director with organizing the major donor programReviewing and executing a best in class donor stewardship programCo-leading the design of the annual fundraising strategy, major campaigns and case for support creation with the Executive DirectorOverseeing all programs other than major giving, including budget management and the identification of new revenue streams within these portfoliosOversee donation administration led by the Operations & Finance Manager (OFM)Oversee the fundraising CRM database with the support of the OFMPlan and execute at least one major annual fundraising eventLead the creation of the Annual Report and annual Community Update event each springManaging and mentoring direct reports Maintaining good relations with donors, volunteers, team members and other not for profit organizations.Minor Responsibilities: Annually establishing measurable goals with direct reports and monitoring and mentoring those reports throughout the year to the successful completion of the established goalsRegular check-ins with direct reports bi-monthlySupporting the Director of Conservation as neededSupport education and community eventsSupport the Board of Directors with fundraising and communications Qualifications: Post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing, communications and/or sales or 10 years equivalent experience in a management position within one or more of these disciplinesDemonstrated direct involvement (leadership preferred) with annual fundraising achievements of $1 million+ gross revenueExperience leading the organization and execution of fundraising eventsExperience development and managing donor stewardship programsCFRE or in the process of working towards Canadian Fundraising Executive Four years minimum of working for a registered charity in CanadaStrong leadership skills to motivate and mentor direct reportsExcellent communication skills – both verbal and writtenVery creativeProject management experienceEmpathetic team player who believes deeply in the mission & vision.Application Process:Please email your resume and cover letter addressed to Jarvis Strong, Executive Director: info@myescarpment.caWe hope to have this individual in place by March 1st, ideally sooner.
