OverviewSenior Software Engineer in Test – Okta for Developers (Okta Identity Governance team). We are looking for an experienced SDET to join our Okta Identity Governance (OIG) team. This team delivers large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced Agile environment.As part of the team, you’ll work with highly skilled engineers, responsible for delivering sophisticated backend solutions that help Okta operate at large scale with high availability. You’ll ensure projects are completed with the highest quality and reliability using automation at every level for fast, robust, and secure releases.The Senior Software Engineer in Test OpportunityYou will:Review requirements and design specs to develop test plans and test casesAutomate API tests, end-to-end tests, reliability/scale testsCollaborate with engineering management to scope and plan engineering effortsDocument QE plans for scrum teams to reviewReview application code, identify bugs and areas of weakness, and architect tools for future coverageAutomate all critical features to maintain zero-debt cadenceRelease features with solid qualityRespond to production issues/alerts and customer issues during on-call rotationBe a strong customer advocate with a strong quality DNAWhat You’ll Bring To The Role5+ years of QE experience, preferably in an enterprise SaaS company3+ years in quality engineering for enterprise-level software5+ years of experience in Java-based automation developmentFamiliarity with automation tools such as Selenium, TestCafe, Postman, JMeter, Splunk, AWS toolsetExpertise in test planning and cross-team collaborationExperience with distributed systems at large scaleAbility to write and review designs and code with team membersAbility to deliver well-designed, high-quality code on timeExperience with APIs and automation for a SaaS productNice-to-Have / Extra CreditExperience with Office 365, Google, Salesforce, Active Directory/LDAP integrationsExperience with performance testingSalary and BenefitsBelow is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. The actual salary will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
