Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, data engineers, and business users to understand requirements and ensure successful testing.
  • Test Planning - Develop Test Plans, following the ETL and BI systems testing best practices to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Test Design - Creating test scenarios, test cases, and scripts for ETL processes and BI tools based on functional and technical requirements.
  • ETL Testing - Verifying data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data quality throughout the ETL lifecycle.
  • BI Testing - Validating reports, dashboards, and analytics generated by BI tools to ensure they meet specified requirements and display accurate information.
  • Data Validation - Performing data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems to ensure consistency and integrity of data after ETL processes and data migration.
  • Automation Testing- Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using testing frameworks or tools specific to ETL processes and BI applications to increase efficiency and repeatability of tests.
  • Defect Management - Identifying and documenting defects or issues found during testing and collaborating with developers or stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Documentation - Creating test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test reports, and other relevant documentation to maintain a comprehensive testing process.


Qualifications:

  • ETL Testing Minimum 8 Years Required
  • ETL/BI Automation tool: such as ICEDQ, TOSCA DI, IDQ and Informatica is required
  • BI Testing (Functional, Integration, Data) Minimum 8 Years Required
  • SQL Skills (Must write complex queries) Minimum 8 Years Required
  • BI tools -Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, PowerBI Minimum 5 Years Required
  • SQL Query tools, Excel Data Analysis, MS Office, JIRA, QTest, API testing. Minimum 5 Years Required
  • RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server etc) Minimum 5 Years Required
