The Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced Environmental Reclamation Specialist to join our clients team in the environmental specialty industry. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a technically challenging and rewarding role, contributing to a wide range of environmental and reclamation projects across Western Canada. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, project leadership, and a passion for environmental stewardship.What You’ll Be Doing:Providing technical oversight, supervision, and mentorship on reclamation site assessments, including wellsite, facility, and pipeline projectsPlanning, coordinating, and managing environmental projects both in the field and from the officeConducting field work such as vegetation monitoring, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs), and supervising/coordinating tree planting programsAssessing forested soils/vegetation and classifying peatland vegetationSupervising third-party contractors, field teams, and office staff as neededLeading and reporting on Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)Interpreting and analyzing environmental data and producing high-quality technical reportsPreparing and managing project budgetsMaintaining strong relationships with clients and external stakeholdersParticipating in health and safety programs for both company and client standards30% of time in office, 70% on field work.What You’ll Need to Be Successful:A university degree or diploma in environmental engineering, agrology, conservation and reclamation, or geoscience from a recognized institution5–10 years of consulting or industry experience in environmental site assessment and reclamationEligibility or current registration with a professional association (e.g., APEGA, APEGS, AIA, ASPB) in Alberta or SaskatchewanStrong working knowledge of Alberta’s surface reclamation regulations and guidelinesProficiency with Alberta’s 2010 Forested Criteria and 2017 Peatland Reclamation CriteriaFamiliarity with BC restoration guidelines and best practices (an asset)Excellent technical writing, data analysis, and reporting skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environmentHigh attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and solve problems independentlyA proactive mindset and the ability to take initiative and ownership of projectsCompensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000
