Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior / Intermediate Instrumentation and Controls Engineer at Lanmark in Calgary, AB. The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to control engineering, process control, electrical engineering, control systems design, and instrumentation. The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of control systems.


Qualifications

  • Control Engineering, Process Control, and Control Systems Design skills
  • Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation skills
  • Experience in designing and implementing control systems
  • Experience marking up area class, control loop, JB Layouts drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Instrument & Controls, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in the Energy, Petrochemical, or Renewable industries is a plus


Responsibilities

  • Instrumentation Specification (selection, technical data sheets, bid analysis and recommendations) and Procurement for field instruments and control systems
  • Provide instrumentation support to project managers and project teams
  • Design and review engineering work packages and construction work packages including: data sheets, installation details, instrument location drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument lists; I/O lists and assignments, instrument UPS load requirements lists, location plans, area classification drawings, control system architecture diagrams, communication block diagrams, building layout, control room layouts, MCC layouts, control panel, marshalling cabinet, junction box, communication cabinet layouts, AC power distribution, DC power distribution, load list, single line diagram, IO schematics, logic diagrams, cause and effect diagrams/shutdown key, instrument index, material requisition, vendor packages
