You will work collaboratively on projects with the municipal department as well as on multi-disciplinary projects with the various other departments at KGS Group. Depending on your personal career path, you will (under the leadership of our senior engineers) focus on design development or take on project management responsibilities. Opportunities will continue to be provided to expand your knowledge and participate in larger municipal infrastructure projects catered to your interests.This position offers significant opportunity for professional growth including but not limited to completing studies and design work to solve complex infrastructure problems, managing multi-disciplinary projects, mentoring junior staff, client interaction and business development, and much more You will be part of a team that delivers innovative solutions for our clients. All of this will take place in our friendly, collaborative work environment where you will work together with other disciplines to get the job done.The successful applicant will have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience specializing in sanitary sewer and stormwater modelling and urban system hydraulics, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modelling, and design of sewer and open channel collection and conveyance systems, culverts and ditches, retention/detention ponds, pumps/forcemains, and hydraulic structures. Your Key Responsibilities: Hydraulic analysis, modelling, and design of sanitary sewer, combined sewer, and stormwater sewer systemsDesign of hydraulic structures, water conveyance, pump stations/forcemains, and storage systemsHydrologic analyses and development of design storms, including climate change impactsPreparation and review of technical reports, drawings, and specificationsPreparation of bid/proposal packagesPreparation and delivery of professional presentationsCollaborate with the project team and other disciplines within KGS GroupHelping to maintain strong relationships with clientsManage projects from the proposal stage through to completion, including establishment of budgets and maintaining client relationshipsAssist with mentoring and training junior staff
