About the PositionNorthern Health is inviting applications for a full‑time Dermatologist to serve the Northern British Columbia region. The position is based in Prince George, a community of approximately 80,000 people, and will provide care to patients drawn from an area serving about 400,000 residents. The role includes the opportunity to conduct outreach clinics in surrounding communities and to collaborate with local specialists in plastic surgery, general surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology.In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will integrate a private practice with the University Hospital of Northern BC’s Department of Medicine, which comprises 20+ physicians across diverse specialties. Candidates will operate their own private clinic while participating in outpatient visits and occasional hospital consults. There are no on‑call obligations for dermatology. The position also offers teaching responsibilities through the UBC Northern Medical Program and weekly virtual Grand Rounds with the UBC Department of Dermatology and Skin Science.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive dermatologic care in an outpatient setting.Manage a private practice while collaborating with the university hospital.Participate in hospital consults when needed.Engage in academic activities, including teaching and virtual grand rounds.Develop and participate in outreach clinics within Northern Health communities.QualificationsBoard‑certified Dermatologist.Experience in outpatient dermatology preferred.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Additional InformationSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full‑timeJob function: OtherIndustry: Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
