An Intermediate IT Specialist is responsible for working within the IT Team to provide support for the computing environment in a fast paced and evolving software company.

We are looking for an Intermediate IT Specialist person to join our dynamic team

This position reports to the Director of IT.


The Intermediate IT Specialist is responsible for:

Management, monitoring and maintenance of:

  • Windows Active Directory and UNIX NIS
  • Network resources including printers, storage and general office equipment
  • Network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access and physical infrastructure
  • Corporate security systems, firewalls and Internet connections and work with providers to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Office 365 & Exchange email flow including email filtering
  • Network Backup process
  • DNS and DHCP servers
  • Network applications

-Provide support to the end user community with workstation hardware and software

-Manage workstation security and patching/updating

-Configure new hire systems including setup of all account information

-Manage the corporate inventory of hardware and software to ensure license compliance

-Assist the Engineering, Pre-Sales and Support departments to manage and enhance the Windows, VMWare, AIX and Linux environments

-Cloud based application deployment and management

-Provide support on the telephone system and work with the provider of the services


These duties and responsibilities may be changed in accordance with the needs of Densify.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • Experience with Windows, AIX and Linux operating systems for both workstation and server platforms
  • Network and TCP/IP networking experience
  • Knowledge of computer hardware maintenance
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Fortinet networking products
  • Experience with MS VBA programming
  • Office 365 & Exchange Server and e-Mail routing/filtering experience
  • Experience with VLAN deployment and management
  • Firewall and Intrusion prevention/detection experience
