DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Import & Re-Export Lead US & Canada, located in West Chester or Markham Ontario etc. Lead importation, temporary importation, and re-export operations across the United States and Canada, ensuring compliant customs execution, seamless cross-border movement of goods, and optimization of customs programs that support business growth, operational continuity, and cost savings. Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end import, temporary import, and re-export activities across the US and Canada. Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian customs regulations, trade requirements, special regulations for temporarily importation of medical for sterilization and internal compliance standards. Lead customs programs including temporary imports, duty relief programs, duty drawback, bonded programs, and other customs special procedures. Support new product launches, network changes, and supply chain initiatives requiring customs and trade readiness. Oversee customs brokers and service providers, driving performance, governance, and issue resolution. Manage import documentation, permits, certifications, licensees and customs declarations. Identify and implement opportunities for duty optimization, cost savings, and process improvements. Lead customs audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action plans. Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Trade Compliance teams to ensure uninterrupted movement of goods. Monitor operational performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, Customs & Trade, or a related field. Minimum 7+ years of experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, or international trade. Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian customs regulations and cross-border trade processes. Experience managing temporary importation, re-exportation, duty drawback, bonded programs, FTZs, and other customs special procedures. Proven experience managing customs brokers and third-party logistics providers. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across a complex matrix organization. Preferred

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation or equivalent customs certification. Experience within Medical Devices, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or other highly regulated industries. Knowledge of customs valuation, tariff classification, country of origin, free trade agreements, and trade compliance programs. Exposure to SAP GTS or other global trade management platforms. Experience partnering with global stakeholders and operating within a matrixed, multinational organization. Proven ability to manage complex operational issues, assess risk, and drive compliant outcomes. Other

Language: English required; Portuguese and/or Spanish strongly preferred to support stakeholders across LATAM. Travel: Up to 25-30% regional and international travel.
