Job Summary

An exciting opportunity awaits a dynamic engineer to play a pivotal role in the sustained growth of our thriving IIOT company. We are actively seeking a full-time Embedded Hardware Designer to join our central team. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in microcontroller/analog/interface hardware circuit board design with embedded C programming skills to develop test code, drivers, and operations software, a solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and hands-on experience in IoT device development. Required Skills

·       Understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) Profound knowledge and experience in hardware systems design, product development, testing, validation, and design for manufacturing.

·       Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems.

·       Expertise in board development, schematic design, printed circuit board layout, RF layout, and manufacturing processes.

·       Ability to interact with low-level hardware components and peripherals, including sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.

·       Hands-on experience with microcontroller development, including ARM and PIC, and ultra-low power design methodologies.

·       Familiarity with Cellular/Wireless technologies, GPS, and tracking applications.

·       Power electronics circuit design, encompassing AC/DC and DC/DC power supply design.

·       Technical documentation skills.

·       Development experience in C/C++.

·       Proficiency in internetworking protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, etc.).

·       Understanding of source control, parallel development, and release management techniques.

·       Design adherence to standards such as UL, CE, and global wireless and safety standards. Application of FMEA and FRCA techniques for design robustness optimization.

·       Strong testing skills, including unit testing, integration testing, and validation procedures to ensure the reliability and functionality of the firmware.

 

Nice to Have

·       Knowledge of Wireless Edge Access Protocols (LoRA, WIFI, RFID, Bluetooth, NB-IoT, etc.).

·       Understanding and implementation experience with communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, or protocols specific to IoT applications.

·       Knowledge of CAN-BUS and OBD protocols.

·       Familiarity with DSRC protocols and integration.

·       Experience with Altium Designer

·       Experience with Linux

·       Ability to develop low-level test software for hardware validation.

·       Strong debugging skills using tools like GDB, JTAG debuggers, or integrated development environments (IDEs) specific to the target hardware.

·       Knowledge of firmware security principles and best practices to safeguard IoT devices against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

·       Knowledge of signal processing techniques.
