The Health and Safety Program Manager will develop policies, conduct training, perform inspections, and foster a strong safety culture throughout the organization.Responsibilities· Revise, improve, develop and implement H&S policies, practices and procedures.· Design and deliver site-specific safety training programs for employees.· Promote hazard recognition and risk assessment practices.· Create audit checklists and conduct regular site inspections.· Collect, analyze, and report on H&S performance metrics (e.g., incident rates, training completion).· Conduct investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective/preventive action plans.· Participate and lead JHSC, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.· Lead regular Health & Safety meetings and communicate updates to management and staff.· Build strong relationships while representing the company with regulatory agencies.· Provide input, research, and guidance on health and safety matters to support company operations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (required).Professional certifications such as CRSP, CSP, NCSO or equivalent.5+ years of Health and Safety experience in the construction industry.Must have JHSC certification and experience with Joint Health and Safety Committees.A valid G driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract and the ability to commute to Ancaster, ONComfortable working in various outdoor conditions and travelling to multiple site locations in the GTHA.Salary: $90,000 per yearWork Arrangement:• 100% in-person, on-site role• Permanent, Full-time.
