OverviewCredit Analyst, Director - Technology, Media, Telecommunications – Toronto. Fitch Ratings is seeking a Director to cover North American Corporates in the TMT sector, with offices in New York, Chicago, or Toronto. This role involves qualitative credentials, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to communicate complex analytical topics clearly in a team-oriented environment.What We OfferAn opportunity to be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency.A team-oriented work environment.Fitch Ratings is a global company with a presence in over 30 countries, offering opportunities to work with diverse teams and clients from around the world.We’ll Count On You ToPerform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the TMT sectors;Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models;Conduct meetings with industry management teams;Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees;Communicate rating rationales to external audiences (institutional investors, sell-side analysts and media) in meetings, conference calls, press releases, and written research reports;Write timely and effective research on topical issues;Participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates, as well as other related credit groups;Represent Fitch in panel discussions and conferences arranged by industry associations or regulatory bodies;Mentor junior members of the team; may include managerial responsibilities.What You Need To HaveBachelor's degree minimum; MBA or other advanced degree a plus;CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred;5-10 years relevant experience; some coverage or knowledge of the TMT sector is a plus;Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus;Expertise in Excel and Word;Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change;Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.What Would Make You Stand OutKnowledge of and interest in the TMT sector;Professional background in capital markets, leveraged finance, and/or credit analysis with strong financial statement analysis skills;Desire to deepen exposure to debt capital markets;Leadership ability and proactive interaction with stakeholders inside and outside the organization.Why Fitch?Fitch Group is a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries.
