Our client is looking for the right candidate to join their highly reputable corporate office in Niagara-on-the-Lake. As a dynamic and collaborative Accounting Manager with a proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams, you'll be a key player in streamlining accounting activities for our client.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading a month-end close and financial reporting, with a strong background in ERP systems, including implementation, custom report creation, and troubleshooting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performance Management: Coach and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and complete all monthly financial reports, including Trial Balance, General Ledger, Financial Statements, and Cash Flow, in compliance with ASPE and US laws.
  • Reconciliation: Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • ERP Management: Update systems and set up modules, such as Power BI, to optimize operations.
  • Sales Taxes: Manage sales tax compliance for both the USA and Canada.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate tracking and management of inventory levels.
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies to meet contribution targets and achieve desired sales velocity.
  • Analysis: Analyze sales trends, promotional outcomes, return rates, MOH analysis, and landed cost sheets.
  • Additional Duties: Assist the Controller with other tasks as needed.


SUCCESS CRITERIA & DELIVERABLES:

  • Take control of month-end close process within 3 months
  • Utilize technology to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing on pricing strategies
  • Prepare for external audits and maintain internal controls
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting, cash flow projections, and profitability analysis


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
  • CPA designation
  • Experience with full cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of ASPE and sales taxes in both US and Canada
  • Previous experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis
  • Familiarity with inventory management, audit preparation, and internal controls
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI preferred
  • Prior experience in eCommerce and technology industries is a plus
  • A growth mindset and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
  • Must live within a 30 minute commute from the office
  • Must be able to do a mandatory start time of 7:30am, however, your day ends at 3:30pm
  • 5 days a week in office
