Our client, a leading provider of industrial equipment solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician (Diesel Engines) to join their growing service team. This is a field-based role focused on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mobile air compressor equipment at customer sites across British Columbia. This is a Fulltime and Direct Hire role.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and emissions system issues using computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment.Perform field-based troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, including fluid checks, lubrication, component replacement, and major engine or equipment overhauls.Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets or exceeds manufacturer performance standards before returning it to service.Deliver professional, timely, and solutions-focused support while addressing customer concerns on-site.Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and repair documentation.Adhere to all workplace safety policies, environmental regulations, and emissions standards.Communicate clearly with internal teams and customers to explain technical issues and recommended solutions.QualificationsRed Seal or equivalent Heavy Equipment Technician CertificationProven field service experience working with diesel engines and rotating equipmentExperience with electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systemsEngine or major component rebuilding experienceProficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software, service manuals, and schematicsValid driver’s license with a clean Driver’s AbstractAbility to work independently in a field environmentWork Environment & TravelField-based position with regular travel throughout British ColumbiaMinimum of one week per month traveling on Vancouver Island
