Airswift is seeking a Piping Designer (S3D Specialist) to join one of our O&G clients on a 12–18‑month contract in Calgary, AB.Responsible for creating detailed 3D piping layouts and drawings for supported and underground water-system piping. Uses S3D as the primary tool for modeling, routing, and producing fabrication-ready deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate 3D models of piping systems using Intergraph Smart 3D (S3D).Develop piping layouts, isometrics, support details, and general arrangement drawings.Ensure design complies with engineering specifications, safety requirements, and constructability standards.Coordinate pipe routing with civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical design teams.Implement engineering comments and design changes into the 3D model.Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and support procurement documentation.Identify interferences and resolve clashes within the model (clash detection).QualificationsTechnical diploma or relevant experience in piping drafting/design.Mandatory: Hands-on proficiency in S3D.Experience designing heavy industrial piping systems (preferably upstream O&G).Strong understanding of fabrication and construction best practices.
