Job Description


Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, in collaboration with the various members of the project team, the quality strategy;
  • Identify and plan the different types of tests required, as well as the environments where they will be executed and the prerequisites for their execution, to ensure coverage and an execution sequence that ensures optimal investment of efforts according to the risks of the project and the solution;
  • Lead the development of the automation strategy and the identification of test cases to be automated and ensure their continuous optimization;
  • Lead the design and monitoring of test cases identified by the team and ensure their entry by stakeholders in the appropriate test repositories or documentary elements;
  • Coordinate the preparation of the test execution context (environments, data), in collaboration with the various teams involved;
  • Coordinate the rigorous execution of tests (manual and automated) for which responsibility has been assigned, and ensure strong alignment with other managers if responsibility is shared;
  • Track test results and anomalies in the manner agreed in the quality strategy, and keep proof of execution for traceability purposes;
  • Identify, implement and feed the quality indicators of the project teams' development process;
  • Support team members in executing the various aspects of the quality strategy;
  • Collaborate, where appropriate, in managing project incidents/problems.


Requirements and qualifications required

  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in quality assurance professions;
  • Experience with different testing practices and tools, test case and anomaly management;
  • Experience in a complex and technologically heterogeneous environment, for large-scale projects involving development, software integration and data conversion;
  • Knowledge of Mainframe, VMS, Centrale, COBOL, DB2, JCL, DB2, IDMS, MFT, XCOM, Hourglass, JCL, MQ, CICS, Endevor, Control-M;
  • Knowledge of sustainable test automation;
  • Knowledge of testing practices involving modern architectures, software packages and data conversions;
  • Knowledge of the principles related to the test pyramid and "Test Quadrants";
  • Knowledge of the financial, fiduciary and insurance services sector (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Centrale MVS;
  • Knowledge of the business domain;
  • Analytical mind;
  • Knowledge of Cobol;
  • Knowledge of VSAM;
  • Knowledge of IDMS;
  • Knowledge of CICS;
  • Knowledge of Easytrieve;
  • Knowledge of JCL;
  • Mastery of the French language, spoken and written.

Responsabilités principales

  • Élaborer, en collaboration avec les différents membres de l’équipe du projet, la stratégie qualité ;
  • Identifier et planifier les différents types d’essais requis, ainsi que les environnements où ils seront exécutés et les prérequis à leur exécution, pour assurer une couverture et une séquence d’exécution qui assure un investissement optimal des efforts en fonction des risques du projet et de la solution ;
  • Conduire l’élaboration de la stratégie d’automatisation et l’identification des cas de tests à automatiser et assurer une optimisation en continu de ceux-ci ;
  • Conduire la conception et le suivi des cas de tests identifiés par l'équipe et en assurer la saisie par les intervenants dans les dépôts de tests ou éléments documentaires appropriés ;
  • Coordonner la préparation du contexte d’exécution des tests (environnements, données), en collaboration avec les différentes équipes impliquées ;
  • Coordonner l’exécution avec rigueur des tests (manuels et automatisés) dont la responsabilité lui a été affectée, et assurer un arrimage fort avec les autres responsables si la responsabilité est partagée ;
  • Effectuer le suivi du résultat des tests et des anomalies de la façon entendue dans la stratégie qualité, et en conserver les preuves d’exécution à des fins de traçabilité ;
  • Identifier, mettre en place et alimenter les indicateurs de qualité du processus de développement des équipes du projet ;
  • Appuyer les gens des équipes dans l’exécution des différents aspects de la stratégie qualité ;
  • Collaborer, le cas échéant, à la gestion des incidents/problèmes du projet.


Exigences et qualifications requises

  • Un minimum de six (6) années d’expérience pertinente dans les métiers d'assurance qualité ;
  • Expérience avec différentes pratiques et outils d’essais, de gestion de cas de tests et d’anomalies ;
  • Expérience dans un environnement complexe et technologiquement hétérogène, pour des projets d’ampleur impliquant du développement, l’intégration de progiciel et la conversion de données ;
  • Connaissance du Mainframe, VMS, Centrale, COBOL, DB2, JCL, DB2, IDMS, MFT, XCOM, Hourglass, JCL, MQ, CICS, Endevor, Control-M ;
  • Connaissances en automatisation des essais durables ;
  • Connaissances des pratiques d’essais impliquant des architectures modernes, des progiciels et des conversions de données ;
  • Connaissances des principes liés à la pyramide des essais et des « Quadrants de tests » ;
  • Connaissances du secteur des services financiers, fiduciaires et de l’assurance (un atout) ;
  • Connaissance de Centrale MVS ;
  • Connaissance du domaine d’affaire ;
  • Esprit analytique ;
  • Connaissance de Cobol ;
  • Connaissance de VSAM ;
  • Connaissance de IDMS ;
  • Connaissance de CICS ;
