Airswift is seeking a Procurement and Contract Specialist to work with one of our O&G clients in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

This role involves managing complex procurement and contracting tasks, particularly within Brownfield Projects. The position requires a strong understanding of standard principles, the ability to work autonomously, and the capability to influence stakeholders at an operational or tactical level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex queries, verify data accuracy, and make necessary adjustments using multiple sources of information.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, manage smaller projects end to end, and deliver high-quality insights.
  • Work autonomously while directly supporting management and specialists, applying standard techniques and procedures.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, influencing and persuading them to align with procurement strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality analysis that impacts reports and supports decision-making.
  • Identify areas for improvement within existing methodologies and suggest enhancements.

Key Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain Experience in Brownfield Projects, particularly working with Engineering partners to execute procurement strategies.
  • Contract Sourcing & Management: Expertise in end-to-end contract sourcing, negotiations, and handling market bids/tenders/RFP evaluations for Brownfield Projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in procurement and contract processes.
  • Strategic Adaptability: Ability to adjust global strategies to align with local business needs and market conditions.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Strong ability to collaborate with business units, supply chain teams, and suppliers to drive integrated solutions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage supplier performance and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Multitasking & Prioritization: Capability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
