Bloom Recruitment is in search of an intermediate level IT Technician to join our client's remote team as soon as possible.


Our client is a dynamic and expanding Managed Service Provider with a decade-long history of excellence. Serving a diverse clientele across Canada, they specializes in comprehensive IT solutions tailored to meet the needs of businesses in various sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a critical second point of contact, adept at troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide technical support for clients' IT systems, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and identify and implement solutions to resolve them.
  • Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of IT equipment and software.
  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect client data and systems from threats.
  • Perform routine maintenance, system updates, and data backups to ensure business continuity.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their technical needs and provide timely support and solutions.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in the company's knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of IT services and support.
  • Assist in planning and implementing IT projects for clients, such as system migrations and hardware deployments.



REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or in a similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business software.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with a focus on desktops, laptops, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site client visits.
