We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned engineer to design and ship enterprise-grade applications on the Microsoft stack, working fully remotely from Toronto, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices
- Develop and deploy cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure using services such as Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure DevOps
- Write efficient T-SQL and stored procedures, shape database designs, and tune queries for performance in SQL Server
- Design event-driven systems with message queues and publish/subscribe patterns using tools such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
- Take part in design discussions and code reviews to keep quality and maintainability high
- Track down and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack
- Work closely with Product and QA partners to deliver features that are reliable and well tested
- Share knowledge with teammates and help raise engineering standards
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience building scalable enterprise applications with C#, .NET Core/.NET, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, App Services, and Azure DevOps
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience designing and implementing event-driven systems using message queues, publish/subscribe patterns, and technologies such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
- Ability to work independently and communicate well in a remote environment
