We are currently seeking a Virtual Remedial Literacy Tutor to join our team and contribute to our mission.


Job Description:

As a Remedial Literacy Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping children and youth enhance their reading and writing skills. You will work with learners who face various literacy challenges, including Dyslexia, ADHD, language-based learning disabilities, or those who are struggling with fundamental reading and writing abilities.


Responsibilities:

- Conduct literacy assessments to evaluate the learner's specific needs.

- Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each learner's unique requirements.

- Implement evidence-based strategies and techniques to improve reading and writing skills.

- Provide one-on-one IN PERSON tutoring sessions to learners.

- Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.

- Maintain detailed records of learner progress and goals achieved.

- Communicate effectively with learners, their families, and other team members.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field

- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring or special education.

- Strong understanding of literacy development and language-based learning disabilities.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping individuals overcome literacy challenges.
