The Opportunity:

Terralogic Exploration is seeking Project Geologists/Managers who will join our technical team to help advance a variety of mineral exploration project. The successful candidates will participate in all aspects of mineral exploration from project planning through to reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position will include the planning, execution and reporting of a variety of exploration activities. The execution of programs will include supervising small crews (5-15 employees and/or sub-contractor personnel) as well as participating in data collection. Program activities may include mapping, prospecting, geochemical surveys, geophysical surveys, trenching and surface drilling. Reporting on project activities will involve the compilation, interpretation, and presentation of results to our clients. 

Qualifications:

·        B.Sc. in Geology

·        Minimum 5 years experience in the mineral exploration industry

·        Valid Canadian drivers license

·        Proficiency in MS Office and GIS software (QGIS preferred)

·        Demonstrate good leadership and managerial skills

·        Demonstrate good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent oral and written communication in English

·        Perform well in a dynamic environment while adhering to health, safety and environmental policies

·        Capable of physically demanding work in outdoor environments

·        Able to travel extensively for periods of up to 4 weeks

The ideal candidate will have:

·        Experience supervising greenfield exploration programs in remote locations, including drill programs

·        Experience in project budget management, creating schedules (rotations), and logistics

·        Valid Level 1 First Aid certification (CPR and Transportation Endorsement preferred)

·        Valid BC Mines Supervisors certification

·        Experience operating off-road vehicles, boats, and firearms

·        Experience working around helicopters and float planes

·        Proficiency with Leapfrog, Geosoft or related programs is an asset

·        Familiarity with relational databases is an asset

Working environment:

During the field season this position will be based from work camps and communities of various sizes throughout Western Canada. Office activities will primarily take place from Terralogic Exploration’s head office in Cranbrook, BC or remotely (from the candidate’s home office).
