On the heels of our $122M USD Series D funding, we’re racing ahead with an exciting product roadmap and are looking for a Head of Brand Marketing to support our growth. Reporting directly to our CMO, this role will focus on shaping the strategy that drives awareness and positions Blue J as the clear leader in AI-powered tax research.A Note on Location We are excited to meet with qualified candidates and are grateful for everyone’s interest; however this is a hybrid position that requires applicants to be within driving distance of Toronto for 1-2 in-person meetings per quarter. All candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.About the RoleAs our Head of Brand Marketing, you’ll make Blue J feel omnipresent by surrounding target accounts with meaningful opportunities to engage with our brand, building trust, credibility, and affinity, and ultimately making Blue J a brand tax leaders are proud to champion. You’ll oversee brand identity, creative direction, integrated campaigns, content, PR, events, and influencer marketing, while leading and developing a high-performing team of marketers. You’ll ensure a consistent, compelling brand experience across every touchpoint while fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.What You’ll DoBuild the brand vision. Define and evolve Blue J’s brand strategy to align with business goals and resonate deeply with our audiences.Lead a world-class team. Inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning brand identity, content, creative, PR, social, influencer marketing, and events.Create moments that matter. Build and execute integrated campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and emotional connection.Own the narrative. Champion our category leadership by defining and amplifying Blue J’s point of view on the future of AI in tax.Bring the brand to life. Oversee high-impact events, from flagship conferences to strategic partner activations that strengthen relationships and showcase thought leadership.Earn the spotlight. Lead PR, thought leadership, and media engagement efforts, collaborating with our agency to secure meaningful coverage.Measure what matters. Establish and monitor KPIs that track brand growth, campaign performance, and audience sentiment.Collaborate across the company. Partner with demand generation, product marketing, and sales to ensure the brand story fuels growth and customer trust.Stay ahead of market and technology advancements.
