Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack, Backend-leaning) Join Jerry.ai, a remote‑first, AI‑powered super app that simplifies car and home ownership. We’re looking for a full‑stack engineer with a backend focus to help build automation systems, microservices, and data pipelines that power our insurance‑and service platform. What You’ll Work On Build automation systems that handle complex insurance servicing tasks end‑to‑end (policy endorsements, cancellations, document uploads, reinstatements) and improve renewals. Ship new automations in 1–2 week sprint cycles. Compose backend business logic that drives automation while respecting complex insurance carrier rules. Design backend pipelines that sync customer policy data, deliver timely alerts, and power seamless re‑shopping experiences. Optimize and scale internal tooling (e.g., in‑house DocuSign for servicing) to minimal agent intervention. Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering ops to anticipate churn and improve customer retention. Work asynchronously across time zones with Asana and Slack. Continuously improve backend systems, APIs, and micro‑service architecture. Our Tech Stack Frontend & backend: TypeScript, Nest.js, Next.js, React, React Native, Expo. API: GraphQL. Data: Postgres, DynamoDB, ClickHouse, Redis. Infrastructure: AWS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, containerized services. What We’re Looking For At least 5 years of full‑stack engineering experience building production‑grade software, ideally large‑scale distributed systems for a growing consumer‑facing product. Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and systems design. Experience solving ambiguous problems, breaking them into actionable code, and iterating quickly. Ownership mindset: responsible for end‑to‑end outcomes and continuous improvement. Comfortable with asynchronous collaboration in a global team and excellent communication skills. Curiosity and adaptability: love learning, exploring new tools, and stepping outside comfort zone.
