Daily operation and maintenance of the Finance Department's internal controls, records, systems and staff. Work with all departments to provide professional expertise, advice and assistance as required. Provide strategic leadership and perform statutory financial administrative functions in the absence of the Chief Financial Officer. Support the Finance Department's staff in accordance with city bylaws, policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to problem solve. Qualifications Accredited Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) with municipal experience. Experience dealing with resident taxation issues or complaints through accounting staff (public matters). Strong knowledge of established policies, statutes, and accepted accounting practices and principles. Ability to support all finance and accounting functions in accordance with established policies, statutes, and accepted accounting practices and principles.
