Title: Director - Client Onboarding Company: International Financial Data Services (IFDS) Location: 30 Adelaide Street East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Employment Type: Permanent Job Overview The Director, Client Onboarding (Asset Manager Solutions) is responsible for the successful completion of all new client onboardings, providing sales support to the Business Development & Relationship Management Team, and managing Business Analysts and Program Managers assigned to the Onboarding Team. The role aligns priorities, expectations, and timing of services and solutions to our clients. Responsibilities Define the onboarding methodology. Ensure direct reports follow defined processes and best practices, and provide input for continual improvement of analysis methodology and templates. Own the onboarding SharePoint site and publish updates. Own the onboarding playbook, ensuring it is kept up‑to‑date. Provide sales support to the Business Development & Relationship Management Team, attending meetings and calls and offering overviews of the onboarding process to prospective clients. Provide estimates and high‑level schedules to Finance and the Business Development & Relationship Management Team to assist with pricing and scheduling discussions. Provide guidance and coaching to Business Analysts and Project Managers working on onboarding projects. Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders. Prepare large project initiatives and provide guidance to ensure clear and accurate work structure, estimates, and plans for BA/PM activities. Provide input into business analysis / project management documentation standards and tools. Actively assess risks, provide mitigation plans, and elevate issues to management. Ensure high‑quality artifacts are created by reviewing BA/PM artifacts and tracking related metrics. Possess excellent understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle. Demonstrate superior flexibility in ambiguous situations and shifting demands. Expertise in evaluating feasibility or practicality of ideas, assessing risks, trade‑offs, and making informed decisions. Allocate resources based on project priorities. Maintain relationships with staffing agencies to facilitate recruitment of contract Project Managers as required. Work directly with the SS&C onboarding team and establish priorities on behalf of IFDS. Understand regulatory bodies governing client product offering and industry’s best practices (e.g., CLHIA, National Instrument, Federal/Provincial, FundSERV, IACC, and IFIC). Provide estimates and schedules to the Europe State Street for prospective clients. Execute People Manager tasks as required. Qualifications PMI‑PMP certification. Expert mutual fund / transfer agency knowledge. Minimum of ten years of experience in leadership roles. Minimum of a university degree or equivalent qualifications. Excellent time management, multitasking, self‑direction, and prioritization skills. Strong project management skills. Superior analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong business and system analytical skills; ability to analyze and solve problems. Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written. Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills. Ability to foster and build relationships to engage and influence. Innovative: seeks out innovative solutions and champions continuous improvement. Initiative: takes independent action and goes beyond what the job or situation requires. Client‑focused, obtaining business requirements and assisting in implementations. Ability to organize workflow to accomplish multiple and changing priorities within specified timeframe. Results‑oriented and strives to achieve high levels of performance. Flexible and adapts quickly to changes. Expert strength in presenting strategic initiatives to all levels of management individually and in large group settings. Other beneficial qualifications (not required): IFIC Operations and Procedures course and financial industry certification (CSC/CFA).
