About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Mill Operations, the Supervisor, Water Treatment, is responsible for all water treatment plant operating crews; Seabee potable, Santoy Potable and Santoy 8 Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The Supervisor will delegate work to the crew and coordinate upcoming work with the Superintendent, Mill Operations. Your
Key Responsibilities
Direct the activities of the operating crew, communicate operator KPI’s, and conduct daily toolbox/weekly safety meetings to ensure the plant is operated safely and efficiently. Assists Environment General Foreman (Water Treatment) managing the operations schedule, planning manpower including overtime and vacation coverage to efficiently operate the water treatment plants. Complete payroll entries efficiently and in a timely manner. Coordinate with the Mill, Maintenance and Electrical department, submit work orders and/ or notifications to ensure the water treatment plant equipment is adequately maintained. Develop Standard Operating Procedures, schedule training and sign off operators by competency, complete Safety Leadership Scorecards, job tasks observations and workplace inspections within all operating areas. Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed including lab supplies, reagents, equipment, and critical spares to ensure equipment availability and plant availability. Skills:
Good communication skills. A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential. The successful candidate will have good communication skills and problem-solving skills. The ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality is essential. Your Education and
Experience:
Class 3 Saskatchewan Operator Certification in Water Treatment. Demonstrated ability to progress the range of certification levels. Post‑secondary education in a relevant science or engineering discipline is an asset. Relevant water treatment operator training and experience would be an asset. About Our Working
Conditions:
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge. Our Stipulations:
