The Position:

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Design Specialist in our Cuisinart division.  If you are looking for an opportunity to join a thriving, dynamic organization with an entrepreneurial spirit and an action-oriented culture, this role is perfect for you.


The Creative Design Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all phases of the division’s creative development work from concept to completion, including web-based, e-commerce, print media, and direct marketing strategy.

  

Responsibilities:  

        

  • Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to create marketing campaigns for print and online.
  • Design and create high-quality marketing content to assist in product development, packaging, digital promotional campaigns, renderings and mock-ups, and other sales support as required.
  • Create and maintain digital web content including listings across e-commerce platforms (DTC, BOX, PIC), as well as uploading digital assets to retailers’ e-commerce platforms.
  • Follow brand guidelines as a “brand guardian” for all digital marketing communications vehicles.
  • In conjunction with the Director, Digital Marketing, manage the division’s email marketing campaigns.
  • Assist marketing/sales teams with customer planograms (Prospace Space Planning).
  • Keep up to date with changes and advances in social media and advise on new channels and approaches to adopt.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions and transform ideas into designs and images that clearly depict the intended message ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Participate in department brainstorming and idea generation sessions.
  • Photography and editing: handle large volumes of edits and create content for online/packaging/presentation.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Post Secondary diploma/degree in a related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in design and marketing, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and branding.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and building positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and all areas of the organization.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to think and work independently within a team environment.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), pdf editing – Mac based versions.
  • Advanced Photoshop skills with image manipulation, colour correction, display renderings.
  • Excellent understanding of photo and video formats and strong editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects).
