We are looking to add an additional Project Director to our leadership team to help lead these priority rail pursuits in Canada. You would lead Arup’s pursuit, including preparation of responses to RFQs and RFPs, commercial negotiations, and collaborative behavior assessment. This role will include coordinating and collaborating with a large multi-firm design team and interface with our contractor clients and collaborators.The opportunityAct as the Bid and Project Director of the Arup for major rail project work.Occupy a Key Individual position in the Alliance team.Provide guidance and leadership to our large multidisciplinary project team, with a particular emphasis on rail systems and stations. This work will impact live train operations and multistorey buildings above and adjacent to the Works.Undertake high level stakeholder engagement with TTC, City of Toronto, Provincial government Ministries, Agencies and other public bodies.Build out and strengthen the project team and enhance technical skills.Provide technical mentoring to the current and future team by sharing technical knowledge and best practices in railway engineering.Deliver a high-quality project on time and within budget, while achieving appropriate margins for Arup.You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.Is this role right for you?Bachelor’s degree in engineeringMinimum of 20 years with 5 years’ experience delivering rail projects in a collaborative delivery modelP.Eng in Ontario or equivalentProven experience leading detailed design for large multi-disciplinary underground rail projects and programs, in Canada and internationallyProcurement of passenger rail projects through alternative project delivery contractsUnderstanding of underground passenger rail systems including track, signaling, communication and powerUnderstanding of complex underground works and tunneling in a dense urban environmentPlease note that all applicants must apply directly via the job portal. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
