OMERS seeks a skilled Investment Accounting Manager to oversee accounting close activities, financial reporting, and legal entity management. With a focus on collaboration, you will guide your team and work cross-functionally to uphold high standards in financial accuracy and stakeholder relations. Your leadership will empower continuous improvement and support the values of our 665,000 members.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage monthly, semi-annual, and annual accounting close processes • Review financial statements and regulatory reports for accuracy • Oversee invoices and intercompany reconciliations • Develop team members through guidance and feedback • Identify operational improvement opportunities for efficiency
Requirements: • 5+ years in financial accounting roles and team oversight • CPA designation with a degree in business or finance • Familiarity with ASPE and IFRS standards • Proficient in Oracle, Excel, and PowerPoint • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
